Lately, I’ve felt the wish to share more about the things that touch me—
and often, they are the simple things.
Right now, in my heart, there’s this deep knowing:
I love simplicity.
And I feel that, deep down, life itself is simple—
it’s we who tend to make it complicated.
Not so much “going out” to be in nature,
but living in it.
Being surrounded by it.
Feeling, in every breath,
that we are all nature.
Picking edible leaves for tea.
Gathering berries with Fee and Wolf.
Waking up, opening the door,
and greeting the fresh air,
a shy bit of sunlight.
Making dinner over the fire outside.
Playing, climbing,
splashing in the lake.
Letting the day unravel
without plans pulling it forward.
I do love adventure too though—
and right now in life, I find it also in discovering and travelling.
But also in arriving somewhere
and simply being there.
Not needing to see it all,
but enjoying the specific, local things.
The energy of that one place.
The quiet moments in our own created campervan,
parked in the middle of nature
or on a small horse farm’s campground,
bring me peace and freedom.
And even the practical things—
there’s joy in those too.
Rest in them.
Doing them together with the kids,
figuring things out,
trying, laughing,
living.
That’s it.
That’s the magic.
