Wild Coffee (Camper in Gotland)

Wild Coffee (Camper in Gotland)

The camper parked on an open spot at the waterside, with some trees around us. Our pertoleum heater giving some flames to heat us up. The kids running barefoot through the grasses and jumping over the rocks in the sea. It’s raw, it’s simple, it’s more than enough. Sometimes freedom looks like this: a view that doesn’t need filters, a day with no plan, and time that stretches like the sky.

We found some beautiful wild camp spots in Gotland. Some are on Park4Night, others we found ourselves. But here on the island it was really easy to bump into those suitable places, easier than at the mainland in Sweden (for a camper).

We also had a lovely house exchange in a house so open and connected to the landscape and a short stroll from an almost private nice beach: Lillviken beach.

What we enjoyed the most were to have those super slow mornings, having an evening walk, discovering a beach... but I like it as well it is a place you can easily combine with a stop for a good coffee and fika for example. Like at Sjalso Bageri. Which looks super cosy too.

Remember that only in July a lot of things are open. So when we arrived in August a lot was closed already. So depending on your wishes, choose your timing to go!
