Our story

  • You don’t need to do more.
You don’t need to become anything else.
    We only can return.
    To presence. To play.
To the aliveness that’s already within us.
    Come back to what’s natural.
    Come back to flow.
    Come home.

Back to Nature — A Personal Journey

Hi, I’m Puck — mother of two wild and wonderful kids (they’re 8 and 10 now), born in the Netherlands, and living in Bali these past years.
Back to Nature grew slowly and organically, much like our life. It’s not a business — it’s more life unfolding. A collection of offerings, homes, clothing, movement, and stories that all come from one place:
a longing to feel alive, connected, soft, present — and real.

Nature reminds me who I am. And in this remembering, I feel free.
This brand is an invitation to return to that feeling. To your own natural rhythm.

In 2025, the three of us will start a new chapter: picking up our self-designed campervan (a lovingly renovated old police bus!) and heading out on a one-year journey through Holland and Europe and Bali in the middle.
Our camper will be our little home on wheels — together with our bikes, and a rhythm of house exchanges.
We’re letting school become life: learning through experience, through wonder, through being together.
I’ll share the journey, and the kids will share their own stories too — from their perspective. Pure, playful, sometimes messy, and full of discovery.

This is not about becoming anything. It’s about remembering we already are.

🦋 Kupu Kupu Lab — Clothing to just flow

Kupu Kupu means butterfly in Bahasa — a symbol of transformation, lightness, and movement.
Born during the quiet of 2020 in Bali, this clothing line emerged from connection:
between Puck, a mother loving softness and sustainability,
and Putu, a skilled tailor navigating uncertain times.

What began as a simple collaboration became a bit of a community —
creating clothing from natural, locally sourced fabrics
that breathe, soften, and decompose back into the earth.
Each piece is crafted with care by local artisans
to support both the planet and the people who live on it.

Kupu Kupu clothing is made to move with you —
to dance, to play, to feel at home in your own skin.
Fluent in flow. Rooted in ease.
Because comfort is beautiful. And being yourself is enough.

The Kupu Kupu Lab store opened in Kedungu in 2023. It’s a cozy space that feels like home — you can come to feel the fabrics, try things on, and move around freely. We often host creative workshops for adults and kids too.

And you can also find the collection at:

Spaces That Breathe

I love creating homes. To me, a home is not just a structure — it’s a feeling.
Each of the homes is filled with warmth, stories, unexpected details, and a kind of soft aliveness that invites you to just be.

Built from reclaimed wood —  old Joglos — and designed with earthy tones, textures, and light, these spaces are meant to nourish you.
There are nooks to curl up in, places to gather, a garden that grows wild, and a pool that sparkles in the sun.

Whether you’re visiting Bali or driving across Europe, you can feel at home.

Because we now also offer our renovated campervan (our beloved ex-police bus!) for rent — a playful little home on wheels, perfect for European road adventures. You can see on the map where we are and if it is at that moment available.

Free flow movement: Healing Through Movement

Dance improvisation is at the heart of Back to Nature.
It’s a language beyond words — one that speaks through presence. It is something from my heart, something that always touches me and where I feel deeply alive.

This practice invites you to meet yourself, fully.
To melt, to unravel, to express without judgment.
To move as you are — raw, open, alive.

In guided sessions, movement becomes a portal:
into vulnerability, into joy, into a deeper knowing.
Not from the mind, but from the body. And from something beyond.
Not through striving, but through surrender.

This is where healing begins.
Where we stop performing and start feeling and letting go.
Where we return to the essence of life.

It’s vulnerable, it’s raw, it’s beautiful.

Travel Guides & Nature Books — Made With My Kids

As we begin this new chapter of travel, my kids and I will be creating online travel guides and e-books together — sharing what we discover along the way.
Not touristy checklists, but real experiences. Nature spots, hidden paths, moments that make us feel alive.

We’ll share from both my eyes and theirs — what touches us, what we learn, what makes us curious.Simple. Pure. Rooted in presence.

🌱 What Back to Nature Means to Me

Back to Nature is not about escaping life.
It’s about coming home to it.

It’s a reminder that we are nature — not separate from it.
That aliveness lives in the quiet. In softness. In wildness. In depth. In play.
It lives in movement. In children. In the forest. In fabric brushing your skin.
In a morning barefoot on the earth. In saying yes to being seen.

This is the invitation — to live life fully, from your real self.
To return to the flow that was always there.

I hope you find something here that touches you.Because is that not what it is all about?
